terms of use + content policy
pov:texts is a platform for fictional, user-authored, ai-roleplayed text-message scenarios. by using it you agree to everything below. if you don't agree, don't use it.
eligibility
- you must be 13 or older to use pov:texts at all.
- you must be 18 or older (or the age of majority where you live) to view, play, or publish anything tagged nsfw. age confirmations are attestations you make; lying about your age is a violation of these terms.
your content + license
- you keep ownership of everything you upload (text, images, voice recordings).
- by publishing, you grant pov:texts a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display your content solely to operate the service (including showing it to people who play your scenarios and caching it on CDNs). the license ends when you delete the content, except for cached copies which expire shortly after.
- you confirm you have all necessary rights to everything you upload — including the explicit consent of any identifiable person who appears in a photo or voice recording.
prohibited content — zero tolerance
- any sexual content involving minors, real or fictional, in any medium. this is reported to the relevant authorities (e.g. NCMEC) and law enforcement.
- non-consensual intimate imagery ("revenge porn"), hidden-camera content, or any imagery of a person shared without their consent.
- nudity and sexually explicit imagery of any kind — including in nsfw scenarios.
- content that impersonates a real person in a defamatory or deceptive way, doxxing, or harassment.
- anything else illegal in the united states or your jurisdiction.
moderation
- every uploaded image is automatically scanned against known-illegal perceptual hashes (Meta PDQ) and an explicit-imagery classifier; matching or explicit imagery is rejected at upload. imagery that does not meet that bar but still reads as adult-oriented forces the scenario onto the 18+ tag.
- scenario text is automatically reviewed; if it reads as 18+ it is tagged 18+ on publish (you still confirm you are 18).
- anyone can report a scenario; repeated reports automatically remove it from public feeds pending review. content that violates this policy is removed and repeat offenders lose their accounts.
- automated systems aren't perfect — if something got through, use the report button on the scenario page.
privacy
- we store: your email, username, a salted hash of your password (never the password), whether that email is confirmed, the content you publish, your votes/hearts/follows/comments, and play counts.
- cookies used: a session cookie (keeps you signed in) and an optional 18+ preference cookie. no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- conversations you play are processed by an ai provider to generate replies and are not stored on our servers after the response is sent.
- you can delete your scenarios (and their media) at any time from your profile. to delete your account and all associated data, or to exercise any data-protection rights (access, portability, erasure — e.g. under GDPR/CCPA), contact the operator via the repository or the report mechanism and it will be handled within 30 days.
takedowns
if content violates your rights (copyright, intimate imagery, impersonation), report it on the scenario page or contact the operator. verified non-consensual intimate imagery is removed immediately.
the service
provided as-is, no warranties. scenarios are fiction generated by ai and creators; they do not reflect the views of the operator. we may remove content or accounts at our discretion to keep the platform safe. these terms may change; continued use means acceptance.
